Park haven9/4/2023 We had a lovely mon-fri stay at the wild duck, we booked a bronze caravan (which was allocated on wigeon court-an ideal location tbh!) Check in was easy and friendly. Children are always welcome on the dancefloor:) cant reccomend haven wild ducks enough, we love it here & will definitely be back again!!! … You made my kids' evenings & you make the evenings so enjoyable, always so friendly & greet all kids with smiles. truly so good at entertaining the kids & adults:) but also to all your amazing entertainment team, im sorry i didn't get to know all your names. Thank you, micky, on the entertainment team. We had food at the sitting duck at i was lovely, my roast was lovely & very good value!! The only little negative is the cooks' fish & chips, and im sorry to say it was not very nice & i feel it lacks the proper chip shop chips:( Papa johns was yummy But last but not least i feel what makes wild duck is your staff, from the check in staff, cleaners(for lovely clean caravan), pool staff always helpful, shop staff always friendly & the baker in shop, who even gave me warm frenchstick for my bacon rolls in morning, nothing is ever too much trouble at wild duck. Both swimming pools were lovely & kids loved it. This was the second weekend away this year here & we try to come every year as we love haven wild duck! Our caravan was clean & tidy, we were in spoonbill Court & it was lovely & quiet. Wild Duck will now be out preffered choice of Haven parks :)… The setting and the friendliness of the staff really make it lovely. Kiss the teacher (ABBA trubute) were fab too! Overall a great stay. The entertainment was hit and miss but we particularly enjoyed Charlie Brett singing and a magician that was on the same night. We used both pools during our stay and enjoyed both. Thrigby Hall wildlife Gardens are well worth a visit. Theres plenty to do in great yarmouth too even for older kids (13 and 12 year olds). During the stay, we hired bikes at £18 for half a day which was fab to cycle around the park, woods, and visit and feed the ducks with the food we bought from the onsite shop. It's nice to be at a haven site where all staff are cheerful. It is very pretty and very clean and everyone who works there seems absolutely lovely, helpful and happy. The park isn't huge, like many other we have stayed at, but that made it all the better for us. The setting is so peaceful and we've enjoyed seeing the little visitors around our lodge such as squirrels, deer and rabbits. Getting in the lodge was lovely and it was immaculate. While we waited, he stayed around to make sure that someone came, and he was helpful, chatty and polite. We called security and a lovely man came along to assist us and called the office to have someone come and unlock it for us. When we arrived the cleaning team had (by accident) sealed the lodge ready for us to enter but locked the door. On arrival we were told that our lodge was checked, sealed and unlocked. Check in was simple easy and we were allocated our lodge. We arrived a wild duck and immediately loved the woodland setting.
