Having a 6-inch Dobsonian has its clear advantages. Images hold up very well under higher magnification, and it really helps that the eyepieces included are of good quality. It has a nice long focal length which translates into excellent resolution. Navigating with the instrument is a very smooth process. One of the things I appreciate most about this SkyQuest is the masterful construction of the telescope, including the solid base.
